Just recently Peter and Sue Turner, HopeForAll supporters of a few years, went to visit the nursery school in Sifoe that HopeForAll has been helping – we will let them speak for themselves about their experience:

Turners

This November we were back in the Gambia for 11 nights and it was great to meet Jan for the first time and also see Ebrima again. The second Saturday was our trip to the Nusery school and a visit to Mbombeh [their sponsor student]. We were armed with posters, books, games etc and extra stock from Jan and set off early aware that this was going to be a long day.

sifoeAfter visiting Mbombeh we journeyed to Sifoe to see the children and Kaddi who we had met for the first time last year. Since 2008 this Nursery school has employed 2 teachers: initially Kaddi and then Kathryn last year enabling the school to have two teachers and two separate classes. We certainly had a warm welcome from Kaddi and all the children; unfortunately Kathryn was ill and we were unable to meet her. Even though it was a Saturday the children were all sat at their desks and happy to join in with activities and games and it was great to see the pictures and posters being put on the walls and the children participating in the singing.

This year's visit can't come soon enough and we are very grateful to those who have helped in whatever way to make those children's lives more enjoyable and also enabling them to have an education.
