sfaWe are encouraged by the number of students we are able to sponsor thanks to your generosity. At the moment we have 106 on our books. Many of them come from very needy families. We have many encouragements in our work here but it is sometimes hard not to be discouraged when every week we meet someone with a new request . . . there are so many needs here in The Gambia and we so wish we could do more.

sfaOne of our supporting churches has decided that they would like to give the tips from their coffee shop toward buying rice for Sabi, the village where SchoolForAll began. At the moment we have £190 which will buy a sack of rice for about 20 compounds, so that is great news. We will be travelling up to Sabi in the near future and will take the rice up for the people they are going to be very happy!

It is encouraging to hear of all the different ways people are finding to bless the people here one lady in Ireland has regular coffee mornings in support of SFA, for instance. Also, we love that even young children are being involved in sponsorship  one of the reasons why we wanted to keep the cost to a minimum was so that anyone could be involved, not just people with lots of money!
